Drooping AMG Wagon Tail
I have 2004 AMG Wagon/Estate which I have owned for 2 years and it persistently leans to the right at the rear regardless of the height mode. (1 or 2 inches different).
At high speed the problem irons itself out (it levels out nicely at the 80mph as it changes height mode) but after a few journeys round town the rear suspension will lean to the right again. I occasionally get the "visit workshop" white symbol.
Both shocks were changed independently in the last 3 years, before I bought the car. (MB says you should do them together). There is no leak, as it never ends up slammed even if left for weeks.
I understand there is only 1 sensor at the rear and this has been replaced. I even changed the control unit (at moderate expense), still not difference.
Basically the rear suspension has a mind of its own and although I love my car, it does look pretty stupid when it droops at the back.
MB says I should get the rear shocks and air bellows replaced but this will cost a lot and will not guarantee the fault will go way.
Seen loads of airmatic posts here but none seem to have identical symptoms.
Any ideas what may be causing this droop/lean???
