So recently my car had the same problem as many others where you lose function of the electronic trunk opener, licence plates lights and 3rd brake light. I went into the wiring harness on the arm and found the 2 cut wires. Soldered them together and everything was working fine. Today the trunk no longer goes up it just pops unlocked and I then have to manually raise it. Additionally when i hit the trunk close button it goes halfway down and stops, and then i have to hit the button again for it to fully close. Is there a setting that I somehow screwed up or is the control unit somehow now malfunctiong. I also checked all the wires and all are still connected. Thanks
