BTW OP ..
I see you said 1 can one wheel .. How many coats did you go over ? Im guessing lights coats at first and then just hittin it till the can ran out ? I wanna hit my brand new 20's but im worried the machined face wont adhere the plastidip same way the painted clearcoated part of wheels will .And i heard its a ***** to take off if you want to reverse the process .. Only thing keepin me from doing this too lol

Less than a can a wheel, 3 cans will be enough for all four. About 4 coats. 15min in between. Do the 20's. I was going to do the lip on my 20's before the road took them out.

Mirrors are black now or carbon? looks good.

Are you planning on switching up the chrome body molding to maybe either color match with the car (white) or carbon or black? I think that would look great.

Also I know guys with E55s are doing their headlights in black on the inside that looks good as well.

Either way I wish I had a white E55, so far yours is my favorite of all the ones I seen. I'm keeping my eye open for a white one for my GF.

Carbon fiber mirror covers I got from chawkins. I'm not sure, they accent too much. May go the w212 led mirror route very soon.
Any grabbers? lol

Appreciate it. Its my fav too

Find a white one for the gf, cant beat it. I was looking for e92m3 but this thing....2x the car IMO, unless I had twisties around.
I love my headlights cause they function well lol. Thought of blacking them out (did it to my Audi 5yrs ago) but dont want to do it again. Then there are the 63 lights. But I like my 55 ones.

Dima, if you go with the W212 style you need to have them sanded down and bondo the seams. The company that makes these did a really ****ty job of molding the mirror housing. That being said they looked f-ing SICK when I got them back from the body shop!

Let's see the system homie!

I assumed some sanding would have to be done. Means I'll keep the covers longer

System is 12W6V2's (like yours?) I blew one up though last week, so one is a W3 now, and changed amp to Memphis 1100Wx1.

Glad to see youre still here bro. Im loving the EvoSport rotors.
Everytime I see a modded b8s4 I think of you, cant believe u went that route, although theyre pretty sweet. Your e55 was my favorite among ALL silver cars I've seen. Ive got a few friends with the B8 S4 the "nogaro" on Iforged is great. But I also think of passing him on the track....while hauling 4 passengers and a trunk full of luggage...

Looks great

OR you can go the route of CF the grill, mirrors, interior, etc to match the front lip once you get it. take a look at this album you can see some of the work for Kamil, shardulm, customers and myself. Keep in mind some of the pics are pieces just primed base coated or cleared. you can see the difference when they look like glass thats with a clear on the pieces. PM me with any questions.

I Plasti-Dipped one of my stock AMG wheels for the hell of it. It came off easily except for the sides of the "spokes" where it wasn't on as thick. The thicker it is, the easier it comes off. I still spent probably 45+ minutes peeling it off the wheel. I used about 3/4 of a can on that one wheel. That wheel was never on the car (Plasti-Dip was on for a month or so, I don't know if brake dust and road grime will effect removal).

I've currently got my grill and star Plasti-Dipped and both are holding up well after several thousand miles (mostly freeway). I've got a couple of small chips in the grill but they're not bad. I'm very, very happy with how well it's held up considering all I did for prep was wipe it down with some water and dry it off. It's also been through the car wash a few times. They use a high pressure sprayer on the cars and that has not done any damage to it unless the guys aren't spraying the grill directly.

I go to Bentley University up in Waltham, just plasti dipped my grill tonight so i havent really been able to look at it on the car in daylight but i think it turned out well did about 4 coats might go with a 5th tomorrow morning to touch up on a few spots. ill toss some pics up when i get a chance. I was thinking about doing this to my badges and just leaving them right on the car but i was worried about getting it back off especially around the Kompressor badges those holes are so small. Any ideas?

You have to take the badges off the car, paint them then re apply some 3m tape on the back, then put them back on... Its a huge ***** and will take you a few hours..

you can plasti-dip the emblems while its on the car . wont hurt the paint whatsoever and will peel off the outline of emblems . the part inside the letters you will have to be smooth with your hands and use a craft razor or in my case I used my wife eyebrow tweezers lmao just tape out a small box around the emblem cover the car
