My dealer only wanted a $500.00 deposit from me. Hmmmm....sounds more like a downpayment than a deposit. Your dealer is tough

Only problem with my dealer is he won't tell me when its coming...hasn't answered my voice mail yet!!!

I placed my $1000 deposit last week on a Feb. delivery car. My only decisions yet are colors and options. I'd love to see REAL pictures of the red bordeaux color scheme. The websites aren't very accurate in appearance, and I'm torn between red or black. I can understand why you can't sleep! If you can, post some picts when your baby arrives.

I have an order in for February/march delivery but have not chosen color or options yet. I have to find an outside color to match charcoal/merlot interior.

 

Man all those gadgets. What! No Xenon Headlamps. They may be the Adaptive Headlamps (aka bending) that turn with the corners on the 2004's.

The E1 comes with the xenon and headlamp washer, and i did include the nav, the command II, that sucka alone costed me $3k. and how come everyone else paid a small deposit. i asked my dealer how much should i bring, (cuz i had cash) and he said a couple of thousand, and im like uhh ok how much, and he said 5k to be safe. safe?? safe for what

 

I have a feeling that he wanted a big deposit because of the color choices of your car. As you know the majority of AMG cars are either silver or black with charcoal interior. If for some reason you do not take delivery, this E55 will be more difficult to move. Is this a refundable deposit? I think 5 grand is way too much money for a deposit. The dealer is asking for this large of a deposit, because he wants to see if you are serious about this car.

Anyway enjoy your E55 when it arrives.

Did you order with the House? I was unsure from the last post I read where you were a little disgruntaled with us & the E500 you are driving.
Congrats anyhow!! I am sure the $5k deposit is due the fact that you ordered a very unusual color exterior and interior.

 

Thats bullcrap...if you are a good customer you should only need $500 bucks. If you back out they will sell that car to someone....hey even at invoice they still make money!!! They just want money!!!! But then again don't we all!!!!

 

No i didnt order with the house, cuz the house sux. im sorry, i would have if they didnt jip me on the e500, but yea. im guessing they wanted a 5k deposit cuz they didnt believe me that i wanted a e55, cuz im 22 and i wasnt wearing a suit or anything expensive to bhmbz so whatevers, i shut them up.

 

HUH! You get the deposit back? Why would you be getting the deposit back? Isn't that money applied to the car and then you bring in the balance due or are you getting the car for free?
