Question about the glow compartment

Question about the glove compartment
Is it supposed to open up slowly or just slam down because I have the idea that it used to open up slowly but now it just slams open when I press the button.

The glove compartment usually opens smoothly and will slam open when the loader is broken. Same things happened to mine but I have not tried to correct it yet. My glove compartment is usually locked and I forget. I suggest you search the forum for clues.

Yeah my W211's glove compartment's soft-open also broke. They obviously designed the thing incredibly shoddy and poorly. The Dealer offered to fix it for like $500.
