Let's get us some LEDs!!
I'm tired of being envious of these newer car models with 'em cool looking LEDs! Maybe if we get enough interest...one of our MBWorld vendors will take notice and manufacture the housing and LED setup for W211 03-06!!

I think it looks fantastic on the E63 bumper, but fear it would look a little silly on the E55 bumper since it's more "roundish" and organic looking. I dunno, I'd have to see pics first.

I really wanted them as well but had the same concerns. Its the "roundness" that kills it. The sharp lines in the 63 bumper are what make the LED's look clean.

The W211 looks just right the way it is. Esp the 2007 facelift.
Automotive lighting designers are going to have to tone down the LED use now that the novelty has worn off. But they will be used a lot from now on due to safety (brightness) and longevity.
I just put in LED light bulbs in the outdoor lighting for my house. Expensive bulbs but they'll last a long time, give off zero heat, and only use 5 watts

Yeah ^^^. I found these on eBay, but nobody seems to sell the grille that goes with them.

Well, I just got done speaking to my contact and he was unable to locate that mesh grille that the "L" shaped LED goes into. So, this will obviously not work. I also contacted all sellers on eBay, and none carry or know any supplier that has that part.
On the other hand, I heard from Jonari via e-mail and below is what they sent me.
"Hi Chris,
Thank you for your interest in WALD's lighting products.
Yes, we can get this LED set for your 211 E63. The LED set with housing will run 450 plus delivery. It'll take about 3-4 weeks to arrive from Japan. They need to manufacture the housings, as they don't keep them in stock.
The LED used in the 212/204 is a european led, and has slightly different shape than the 211 LED. We have no idea why WALD used inferior LED's on the 211 and older S63/S65. It's a shame. We dislike the visible screws too, but that's what WALD chose to bring to market.
Let us know if you have any questions.
PS: If we could modify WALD's current housing to fit the high quality EURO LEDs units (which are made of glass and aluminum), do you think there's a decent market for them, and how much do you think people would pay?
Best,
Jonari Corp Sales Team"

We might have an option of them modifying the part, but I am guessing this will be a long turn around, and I really do not feel like waiting two months. You guys just want to put an order together of maybe 5 Wald LED fog lights and see if we can get a discount?

Well that is what I was saying, plus you cannot even buy that grille housing because nobody sells it. The only option is the WALD or custom WALD. I think I am just going to buy the WALD from Jonari. You want to get in and see if we can get a discount?

Ok so we have three here I will e-mail Jonari and see what kind of deal we can get if we have five sets ordered. I am going to shoot for $375 to $400 with shipping included. I will post the reply they send me as soon as I receive it, Chris.
