Funny ad in BMW magazine
Get this "Brian Jessel Magazine" every quarter from a local BMW dealership, flipping through it and found this ad amusing, but true LOL...
(Benz dealership service does suck compared to BMW)

That's pretty good. Except I've never seen a MB shuttle bus like that at any dealer before.
Some MB dealers do suck. And so do some BMW dealers.
My dealer gives me a choice of loaners every time (which luckily so far has been only a couple of times for basic service) or offers me a personal ride home and a scheduled pickup.
btw, MBUSA recently loaned big $$ to dealers to redo their buildings and showrooms, and make service more efficient. etc.. If a dealer didn't take the offer and the money to fix up their infrastructure, then they probably don't care that much about their service anyway.

Yeah, that would be convenient. But that "free" maintenance is hidden in the MSRP of all BMWs. There is no free lunch, ever. And the BMW bean counters aren't stupid.

wtf, lol who said anything about VIP treatment I posted it because it was funny, clearly you have no sense of humor Having owned both BMWS and Benz, BMW service is better, but like 220s said it, its defiantly in the MSRP...

You can tell the woman in the MB pic is surprised.
On the subject of loaners, I get stuck in a C300 everytime, although it could be worse. I could be stuck in a Cobalt.

LOL, when I take our ML in, Im luck to even get a c230, most of the time they rent you a pos domestic car...
BMW was the best, use to get new 3 series, 5 series, x5s as courtesy cars when I had my 6 series...
Obviously if you want a Benz, you want a Benz regardless of the service. lmao

Both the BMW and Mercedes dealer here in Chandler, AZ are pretty decent with the loaners. I usually wind up with an E or 3 series as long as I ask for the loaner when I schedule the appointment.

I must be lucky with my MB service location in Honolulu. Never questioned any repairs on my CPO. They fixed everything and I always got a C300 loaner. Not AMG, but not a cobalt either. No complaints from my dealer.

I completley disagree! I used to own a BMW X5, back when the ML's where complete garbage. I needed a new headlight bulb on the X5, i went to make an appointment and they told me 3 weeks!!! For a headlamp! I argued that I would get a ticket and they said "theres nothing we can do". I had a tailight out on my ML, i was able to bring the car in the following day. BMW service may be "free", but as far as their accomadating ability goes...they're complete crap. By the way, mercedes gave me a C class loaner for the day and BMW made me wait in the ****ty waiting room.
I would much rather spend the extra cash on a service than get a "free" (included in the sticker price) ****ty service from BMW!
By the way, im talking about Hassel BMW and Rallye Mercedes-Benz.

I was not talking directly to you bud, I was speaking in general towards BMW's advert, it says on the pic you posted "get the VIP treatment"

I get my choice of a new C300, ML or GLK whenever my cars are in for service.
On the rare occasions that I don't need a loaner, they shuttle me in an R350.
No problem here at EuroMotorCars-Germantown

My local dealership (Tysinger Mercedes-Benz) gives you a lifetime loaner vehicle contract when you buy a new car from them.. I'm rocking a brand new GLK right now
They also do the shuttle van thing for everyone else. Nothing wrong with that!

I rather pay for my service and have it done right, that have the dealer skimp on pre-paid service because they make less out of it.
