Metal "AMG" door sills
The previous owner did not remove the OEM plastic protection and over time it melted onto the door sill. I've removed 70% of it but some of it is almost difficult to remove? Have any of yoou experieinced this? If so, I need recomendations on removal (polishing or rubbing compound) without compromsing the appearance?

paint tinner would take that out in seconds....use a cloth soaked with tinner(not to the point the cloth is dripping wet) and gently rub the plastic, it should just peel right off. i'm guess it's the adhesive on the plastic that's holding it down and paint tinner works great at removing adhesive.
