Tire slipping on rim

I've been battling vibration issues for the past year. The rear of the car vibrates intermittently but more often than not the vibration is present. It has been driving me CRAZY!

While I was dressing the rear tire yesterday, I noticed that the tire moved about 5" on the rim. It is easy to see because I have a small curb rash on both the tire an wheel that are now misaligned. Without the curb rash, I would have never discovered this issue.

Do any of you super high torque AMG guys have this problem? Any solutions?

Thanks

Also depends on the solution the shop used to mount the tire. I had this issue years ago on another car - they were using an oily solution that allowed the tire to slip. Had to clean the wheel/tire and re-mount with just a soapy solution and problem solved....but just as Shardul noted you will have to rebalance fairly often if the problem persist.
