2014 E63s 1993 mazda rx7 on Boost
OBD 2 Scanner eveyone is using
I had an Actron CP9145 worked on the M cars and even GM/Ford but not working on my 07 E63.
I borrowed an Innova from a friend and it worked.
What scanner are you guys using. I would like to stick to Actron brand is possible very simple to use and monitor live data.

Thanks for your feedback.

what model Actron are you using?
I had the CP9145 it can scan everything but the AMG.That unit was 2 years old. I am not sure if the new CP9145 will work just dont want to buy and not have it work.

I have autoenginuity...not the best scanner I've ever had but not bad either. I also have Star.

I have both of these. I like the Kiwi setup better because I don't need a laptop.

07 E63 different OBD than 05 E66 OBD
My CP9145 worked on a 06 E55 but not my 07 E63.

Any reason for this. I was told the 07 ECU is a not 100% OBD 2.

I want a hand held scanner as I can it easy with me from car to car and can let friends borrow it if need.

I just scan SL 55 E55 and a nissan pathfinder ..my e63 will not connect...so I know its not the scanner and E63 will scan using a Innova 3140...So scanner is good just not for the E63....

You need to buy a scanner that uses can bus as the e63 is using a way faster system than the e55.

Most new scanners will do canbus,I bought one off ebay for 150 and the darn thing stopped working a few weeks ago.

I also use the app for my droid cell and that works just as good.

SO, now that it's 2014, what's everyone switched to? I have two E55s in two countries... 2005 and 2006... want something simple to read codes.

Would love to flash some canned maps for pulley, intake, etc... but I guess that's asking too much. Eurocharged maybe?
