Park Rev Limiter
I know the limiter is there to protect the transmission but there are so many cars without it, is it really that harmful to rev in part. It sucks because the other day I was an my brother in law's BBQ and he asked me to "rev it up", now he owns a Pontiac G8 (Holden HSV) with a custom X-Force exhaust so his car kind of overshadowed me

Revving an engine without load puts awkward strain on the internals as they were designed to by revved with load. It'll also protect your transmission ( and yourself ) in case you do a neutral drop to D. The amount of wheel spin this would generate would be sick though...lol.

4K is pretty low, but it is there for a reason. Having a load on the engine is a good thing. Most circle track motors that go kaboom do so when the driver lifts off the throttle at 7,000+ RPM for a corner. Rods like to be compressed, not pulled apart. That's a pretty simple explanation, but it happens a lot.

...and burn my tires shreds which cost $400 a piece I guess you guys I right but still, it sucks big time, when I got the thing I thought there was an issue, took it to 3 different mechanic, turned out the first 2 idiots didn't know about the limiter, so called "mechanics" the third told me and the dealer confirmed. It sucked because coming from an M3 it was a very tiny drawback. No problem though, better to be safe than sorry.

HAHAHA I remember this, what a noob I was hahaha never ever had a car with a neutral rev limiter. I can't believe I actually took it to the dealership to make sure it was alright

I hear this has been done on a CLS55 amg for a chap in birmingham. Sounds awesome as it has full straight through exhaust cat back. Now revs freely in park and neutral. Apparently was done by Blackcode.
