2003 turns into a 2004
Well, I went to my dealership this past Saturday to talk with my dealer about my E55. One of my first questions to him was could I get Satellite radio in my car?? Well, he says....I couldn't order any more 2003's, yours will be a 2004 model. So I told him in that case order me the satellite radio. I asked him if the price would be much different...and he said it might go up slightly....very vague!!! In other words he didn't know. How much over $76,000 will the 2004's be???
On a side note, while I was at the dealership , they had a new W209 CLK55 on the lot!!! I asked my dealer if I could take it for a spin....he slaps the magnetic dealer plate on it , hands me the key, and says....sure, take her for a spin!!! So, my girlfriend and I go over to the car and I say.....aren't you comijng with us???? and he says...no, you two go!!! So there I am just my girl and me.....cruising down the road. Let me tell you...I was very tempted to leave my Ml430 there at the dealership and drive home!!!!!

I just got similar news about my E55 that was supposed to be an 03 but today my dealer tells me that it will be an 04 and that it has already shipped.

I was a little disappointed in the acceleration when comparing the 500 vs 55 in normal driving modes. I took the 500 out, then the 55 and put both through thier paces. The 55 was more sluggish when not in manual mode than I expected. Although, my next car will most likely be the 55, simply because of the interior and white-faced guages!!!
