It deffinetly has more then 10 miles.....oh and it has been in an accident as well!

FYI, car had ~20K miles in summer 2010, so would expect around 25K now. Maybe worth $40K if the accident was fender bender level, less if the damage was greater.

fwiw, that dealership is owned by MBUSA. An innocuous factoid. And it also happens to have a crappy rep on most forums. Blah, blah, blah!

Eh, all that's needed is to puncture the radiator and leak a bit of coolant, and the car gets towed regardless of other damage. So maybe yes, maybe no it was in a significant accident.
The Carmax car earlier in this thread sold for $40K in about a week. It was a 34K mile 2006 - admittedly with a clean history. I'd think this one worth about the same if it wasn't hit too badly.

Maybe when the radiator popped it was 90F out and he left the car running to keep the air going. Maybe when the airbag blew out the windshield, they put a new seal in with the new windshield that leaks when it rains. Meh, you never know, it is well worth the 40k to find out though!

I think Marcus is just grumpy all the time because he lives in Ohio. He dissed the one in Houston because it too had an accident reported on Carfax. Turns out the dealership knows the owner very well and the entire history of that car - the bumper had been repainted due to a parking lot scratch. Then they sold the car the day before I was headed down to buy it!
We could always email MB Manhattan and ask about the accident history, but that would spoil the fun of all this pointless speculation!

I bought my wagon from MB Manhattan in late 2006 and got a great deal and they were very easy to work with. I wouldn't hesitate to call and inquire if you are interested.
I really don't see them selling a car that isn't all there - too much at risk - and too many corporate eyes if something goes wrong.

since i work EMS in NYC it could have gotten towed from the scene because I see it all the time, chasers have scanners and are at accidents before us and the police and they talk the driver into feeling pain which causes them to go to the hosp for basically nothing while they make a tow and put money in there pocket for a car that can be driven away. Its legal cause they are there first tow there so they have the rights to tow instead of the officer requesting the next available tow over the air. but who knows

MB Manhattan just emailed stating the "10" mile car has been sold. I'm guessing they got pretty close to the asking price, given the car was listed less than a week ago. Either it was that nice or somebody got suckered...
