Summer Blizzak Buy Worth It?

Hey Guys....so does has anyone had any issues running OEM sizes for Blizzaks during the Winter on the W211 E63? I can get a set for relatively cheap (about $600 from a guy) during the Summer months and was wondering if they would be worth it. At most I would only drive in light snow to and from work. Just want something on the car to cover me in those "it might snow" days around DC. I had them on my old old M3 and they were ok. It was a very light car though.

I would buy the Blizzaks for winter driving and pick up a nice set of summer tires for the dry, Something like the Hankook V12's.

I would buy only fresh new winter tires in the fall before the first snow hits and make they are not left overs. Why? If your friend or one leaves winter compounds on above 50 F they can get cooked and loose their winter grip. The stuff that makes them sticky on ice is the top compound and that usually goes away in a season or two.

Winter tires are the right solution even in light snow because everyone else has summer hockey pucks on.

agree on both points.. Alternatively Hankook has several winter solutions, nobody got fired for buying Blizzaks.

Big online retailers tend to push B stones, ever notice?
