Yep, "sticking like glue" is a subjective quality. Although I will say that these E Class AMG barges do handle better than one would expect. Body roll is an issue, though. These cars are heavy and it often shows.

The only problem is that you'd have to do a lot of R&D ($$) to figure out the correct thickness for this chassis and whether to design adjustable sways, etc.. Sways are kind of tricky in getting just the right formula (too stiff and the car can break loose earlier and with no warning, etc..)

I know the E63 does have different sways then the E550 (not sure about the E55.) But bottom line is the market is so small and not worth the investment. Plus the E55 and E63 (W211) are no longer produced. Even the current W212 E63 is too small of a market segment.

I think you hit the nail on the head with this comment. There probably is no real demand for any company other than specific European tuners to devote the R&D time into W211s or W212s for the most part. The percent of people who mod these cars is probably pretty small. Buying aftermarket wheels and tint is about the limit for most people. The Merc just isn't one of those cost effective cars to mod like a Mustang or a Vette. You can certainly crank up the juice in the E55 to insane levels like the old Supra Turbo, though.

I would LOVE sways for my car. That would be ****. Can't they just up the thickness and add some urethane bushings and call it a day?

I think Jangy was all about this back in the day.
