Put some bfg 275/35/18 or m/t 265/40/18 on the stock wheels and you should be all set.

I may be selling my setup 275/40/17 MT on 17 OEM MB wheels. This setup on my stock car produced 1.71 60' but on a modified 55 it produced a 1.62 60'

Haters crazy
All my mustang buddies pushing crazy power swear by M/Ts, or Hoosiers... Nittos/bfgs are ok...

12.5? wowwwwww you should be doing much better than that. I ran 12.53 (bone stock)

cornfed gtr and m3
16" or 17" MTs or Hoosiers are the only way to go.

go with MT they have unreal grip and blow everything away,Iv had nt05s,bfgs and M/T and those suckers are almost impossibe to break loose on a stock E55,like traction off and floor it in 40 degree weather and they still freaking hook up.

My only problem with them was they didnt make a size I was looking for and nt05s and bfgs had that size.

put it this way,I just put on a new set of pilot super sports and they grip just as good if not better than my bfgs do on normal driving, the bfgs are only good once heated up and they have like a B or C temp rating so they suck cold.

the MTs on the other hand were always like glue and even in the winter would grip well(stock boost)once I went huge pulley and headers they were giving me problems and thats when I started looking into 285 sizes for an 18s wheel

is your car lowered? I got maybe 3000 miles out of my bfgs.Lowered cars will eat away the inside of the tire real fast and I should post a thread about checking your tires.

Just piece together your own "drag pack" through tire rack. Mount some 16" cheapo's with some 16" BFG drags.

I think mine cost 500 shipped

Hoosier's or M/T's 16" or 17" 275 or greater. Will stick all you can throw at it. Can't run them daily, and hoosiers cannot be run on the highway. The sidewalls will fail with extended driving.

W215 V12TT Build by Speedriven, W221 S550 4Matic
Ran a 1.6 60 ft on 18 inch Drag Radials (Hoosiers)

I'm shocked that the car ran a 12.5 with all those mods seems like traction might not be the only issue unless you are using traction and you are getting blocked on 2nd when you spin down the track. Is the car in dyno mode?

I am wondering the same as kamil. One guess is really high density Altitude (DA). Warm humid air raises havoc with our motors. Do you know what it was? I can get if you tell me the track, date and time. Or you can look for it. I think dragtimes tracks it.

DA was approx 1400 if I did the calculations correctly

If the old rule of thumb works then a 1.8 60' knocks 8 tenths off the ET. What was the trap speed? doesn't it help indicate the potential given a good 60?
