Hey All,
Never had a Merc before and I am now the proud owner of a 2006 E55 AMG. I picked it up June 26 while working at Marlboro Nissan. The owner traded it in for a 2006 Murano LOL. Anyways, I got it for $32350 out the door with taxes and fees. It had 40867mi and its already at 43!.
Now the bad news. I'm the 3rd owner the 2nd owner bought it as a certfied pre-owned. There are no records of maintenance at any records of maintenance excpet for complimentary safety inspections. So i'm hoping he/she at least got service done at an indie shop. The master mechanic at nissan said it sounded great. I also brought it to herb in natick to get it checked out and everything was in excellent condition minus the tires who are worn down to the ply. Also, 2nd owned apparently can't park and curbed the hell out the FR rim and there seems to be some delam on 3/4 rims so I'm assuming they are refurbished. I've included pics. Also open to suggestions to get this car to 100% cosmetically.
Thanks!
Tiago
p.s. Was going to go to Cars and Coffee in Boston this morning but woke up for a flat tire and thats where I found the ply on inside right the RL tire. Should I just go ahead and try and put on snow tires or will I wear them significantly before it actually starts to snow. I haven't lived in MA in 7 years. BTW was a active duty Marine till 2009 so Semper Fi to any Marines on here or other service members.

Welcome! I'm new here too, been driving my E63 for about two weeks now and LOVING it! Is that the clear coat peeling? If you look in the back of most car mags there are ads for wheel repair services. If you live in a big city there are usually several wheel repair places that can make your wheel look brand new. Try this: http://www.awrswheelrepair.com/
