Two 957 Cayenne GTS's (black and silver), Duc749 (dark), departed '03 E55
Yeah, someone posted these up in the wheels/tires section and then someone posted a NBC special on old tires being sold as new.

On the TireRack page, under the tire size it says '2007 Production'.
Check out that other thread and the video CylinderHead posted about older tires. Here it is: http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/video/aged...hazard-4826897

I guess I should have looked at Tire Rack's website before posting.
Most "experts" believe a tire has a shelf life of no more than six years, with some saying to replace once a tire reaches four years, while others say you're okay up until 6 years. Other research suggests that temperatures in the region where the tire is used also play a role in how quickly a tire deteriorates. A study conducted by the NHTSA found that tires used in Phoenix (with its higher average ambient temperatures) deteriorated more quickly than those used in areas with more moderate climates. I've attached a copy of a study conducted regarding tire aging.
To Tire Rack's credit, they are disclosing the age of the tires - four year old production - soon to be five years old. I was pretty stoked when I first read about the "deal," having used F1's in the past and being very pleased with them. However, as soon as I learned these are old production, my interest ended. Putting my and my family's safety at risk is not worth saving a few hundred buck on old tires, particularly on an ultra-high performance car like the E55.
