Looking to get a used e55 advice welcome
ive rear some of the problems are , fuel leak , i/c pump , blower clutch and a few of the others.
i plan to install a smaller pulley on the blower for a bit more boost and a re tune right of the bat as well as a new heat exchanger and pump , the basic bolt ons that will most likely need replacement at most since its not mine .
im in so cal so i see quite a few of these on the street but not many for sale .
i know the question gets beaten , is there anything major i need to look for as we plan to test drive some this weekend .
we like the pano roof alot but its somewhat rare. we must have at least cooled seats and the more options the better.
the ones we are looking at have anywhere from 55000-74000 miles.
is there any way to tell a late model 2005? i am reading they have an updated steering rack ? any advice is welcomed , look forward to getting into one of these and learning my way around german. i do work on quite a few mb diesels for work . but domestic is where im cofortable.

The interior is in perfect shape and has never been smoked in. $29,000 or reasonable offer. Feel free to email me at dgreen1069@yahoo.com or call (703) 201-5566
My daily driver is a 900HP Duramax(built motor huge turbo). Good look with the purchase you will be happy with it!
This my baby, I have built 90% of it.
This is the current fastest ss in the world.
This was my first ever shakedown run with the 427 twin gt35 turbos, low boost on 91 octane. I ran some junk 22tires and even w awd traction was an issue.
Im currently putting together a new 438 ci motor w more fuel (100 octane ) im designing a 4 link and building a fuel cell. 9 seconds is this years goal and with drav radials on all 4 it wont be too hard.
I run at fontana ca ans if u know the track it sucks ***. Ive also lacking a roll bar and its rrquired at 11.49 and faster. I have not got to that yet as I enjoy cruising on the street and surprising egotistic super car owners
It weighs 5800 in race form not anyy weight reduction atall. Ill post pics when I get home
Hopefully adding an e55 to the garage this weekend

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
first guy asked if i was coming early am , i said i was , got there around noon and was told the owner took the car earlier and wouldnt be back. After i was told it was there and to go ahead and drive an hour and a half to inspect it , so i left very upset.
the second i looked at had higher mileage , showed some bad front tire wear, seller didnt have the carfax and my gut told me to get it and i brought it , come to find out the motor was removed for inspection but nothing major was reported, kind of fishy. had a few minor dents but the main thing is he wouldnt even let me test drive it . i know how it is with brand new high hp cars and all being high hp they dont want them beat on but cmon , 70K miles and under 30k isnt exactly something up to those standards. i made the guy a reasonable offer(25k otd , he was asking 24k) and passed as did i , i even told him id pay him half right now and finance the remainder.
ill find a better one with time , white or dark grey loaded with lower miles will happen , just being patient is hard.
i for some reason couldnt get the sunroof to work and asked wtf, they told me to bring it back and they will fix it but it seems like something isnt right about how its attached.
the only other issue thus far is the passenger seat forward/reverse power motor is messed up and only slides on the outside rail so the seat binds since only one side slides . so ill be bringing that up as well.
it only came with a single key so hoping to get another , any insite would be nice . id also like to get an owners manual for it as it didnt come with one.
im a mechanic for diesel trucks do this is new territory , though ive got a nice setup of torgs, inverted torq and allen sockets to do work on it . is there any good reliable places in so cal near the inland empire that are known for good work without raping?
ill get some pics up soon , it has a nice set of 20" staggered wheels on it , that look like factory reproductions or aftermarket .
its the blue mettalic but it looks like a greyblue mettalic , i love it so far , only drove it home about 15 miles until i get insurance tomorrow.
The owner's manual can be purchased on e-bay for about $75, that's where I got my complete set. This is the guy I bought from, he was a great seller.
