Thanks. No, I didn't remove the calipers. I cleaned the calipers very well. Used one can of brake cleaner per side along with couple of old tooth brushes to get in the nooks and crannies by the screw/bolt heads. Then used sponge and soapy water and rinsed off and used compress air to speed drying. Used old newspaper and masking tape to mask off rotor and inside wheel well. Then used two very thin coats of grey paint primer. Hour later began putting on several very thin coats of VHT high temp Burnt Copper color paint. Finished it off with AMG brake calipers decals from eBay.
Based on past experience key to keeping them looking good is no wheel cleaners (I only use leftover car wash suds and microfiber wrapped wheel brush to clean the wheels and calipers) and making sure no strong tire cleaner hits the calipers when spraying the tires during cleaning. I used this method on a prior vehicle and the paint looked fresh and glossy the two years I kept it post caliper painting.

Had that before. Went through tires faster than hell. Done with it. I'll live with the ride height.
I rode around with a big drop for a year. $1,200 in front tires...I am now back to stock height. I drop it when I want but for daily use it sits high and ugly...

Me too. Until my suspension goes out and coilovers go in, that's just how it's going to have to be. :-/
James! Haven't seen you for a while bro.
Where have you been? What are you driving now? R63 still?
Aloha! I sold da R63 last year and jus recently picked up a black W211 E63 wagon. Still have my CLK and BMW E39 wagon. Daily drive a Prius and weekend got a ML63. Definitely long time since i've seen you. Your W211 looks super clean!
