Fiberglass Airbox E55, what do you think?
I was thinking of this idea since the beginning. If I could make another air box like the stock one but bigger a little bit and also connected to reach the TB and eliminate the use of Y pipe, would not be good?
Also, the intake tube, i am thinking of doing the same thing, designing them in bigger size a little bit. Cost wise, will not be as expensive as the carbon fiber air box and at least it could be better than stock. right?
Does it worth to go in that way? I don't how much it will cost but I think it will be something like 600 - 800 USD

Hmm, I know that the C32 AMGs had something like this made for their cars and it worked out well for a bit of more power. I guess trying this would never hurt however you gotta think about where to place the airfilters and where everything would go.
