So I had the resonators removed on Saturday and the car sounded amazing. On Sunday I went ahead and removed the charcoal filters as well. The difference this made in my opinion was simply amazing. The throttle response and torque increase was noticeable. However this evening as I was leaving work the check engine light came on and I am not sure why. The car ran just fine with the light on and had zero signs of problems. I turned the car off for a few hours thinking that it would possibly reset it but when I fired it back up the light was still on. I'm thinking that the extra air in the engine is tripping a sensor but I'm not a mechanic or claim to be one. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

So I just left the Mercedes dealership as I had to pick up a new key. They were able to check it and they said the reason for the light was a mis fire in the 3rd cylinder. He also said that it's going to keep coming on because of the air warning. So what I am guessing is that I am running too lean??? Anyone know how I could get more fuel into it?? A tune maybe??

Could be a number of things, there have been a few threads about this if you STFF, but most will agree that these cars can be picky about how much air they're getting and if you don't have a tune to go along with the filter removal you will probably throw a CEL.
