FWIW, all the un-sprung weight calculations posted online, have never shown up that high for me a the track. I sure wish they would but it seems like sprun and un-sprung is more like a 1 to 1.5 ratio for me at the 1/4 mile track. In other words. I gain .15 better ET for 100 lbs of un-spring weight. Just Saying.

These rotors may be a mute pint for my CL class car. Recieved a few PM that state they may not fit on my car. The hats are at least one inch lower than my current stock hats and that would move rotors inside wheel more. Will check this out but the hats are a lot shorter.

SGC CL65/RENN Tech gained about. .35 after ALL there unsprung weight reductions, it truly made noticable difference dropping E/T to 10.27 @ 137.46 mph, roughly gained near 4 mph & nearly 4 tenths, previous record 10.62 @ 133.70

are your rotors the same height as the c63 or e55? if they are racing brake rotors has a set that should fit

E55 yes but not sure about the C63. The problem is the offset of the hat. I have not double checked fit but from looking, I see "no workie"..

Looks like I may have to sell. That sucks too, as really needed these suckers! I see on the evosport site, they list E , CLS and SL only. I have the SL rotors. I think they fit the front of an E class but not rear.

Bottom line, on a 4400lb vehicle, your lap times are NOT going to change. Sorry, but true.

Been there, done that in the world challange series my friend. And that was in a 3400lb vehicle.

Can it hurt, obviously NOT, are you going to see a real world difference, well I'll just leave it at that

PS: In Exotic's quest for the Mile and draggin, ANY wieght reduction can only help. Besides as he stated he needed new rotors anyway, so why not.

But for road racing, I stand by my original statment for the E55.
I'm sorry but that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Weight is THE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR OVERALL PERFORMANCE. Power makes you go fast in a straight line, without it there's no movement however, weight improves EVERYTHING. Fuel economy, handling, braking, acceleration and in the case of lightweight wheels and unsprung weight then comfort too. Weight savings are expensive but he wants to do it so why do you have to bring him down? 34 lbs in unsprung weight is alot. Put lightweight wheels, carbon driveshaft and you have a respectable weight reduction in rotating and unsprung weight, those two are the most important type of weight saving. Now the CL is pretty heavy but still, it makes a difference. Now on a 4040 lb E55 a weight reduction of 300 lb is fairly easy and that WILL make a difference. It's not just 1/4 mile times, it's the whole drive-ability of the car. When I replaced my E46 M3 roof with a dry carbon one, the bodyroll and handling improved much more than I thought. It's amazing how weight f***s everything up.

WEIGHT IS EVIL!!!!

Stupid Mercedes, dumb dumb engineers, why do they have to ruin the car with their piece of turd SBC. There is NO advantages, just head aches and hurt. I've driven cars without it all my life and I went on just fine. Don't tell me it's a luxury feature, IT'S NOT. It's USELESS. At least Crapmatic can be changed but so far no one has gotten rid of this disease. The fact is I can live with a little absent brake feel but the fact that I'm limited on aftermarket braking packages just boils the blood. They go and get rid of it after screwing over the 55k owners and giving the E63 owners an SBC free car. If it wasn't for the engine, the gorgeous interior and the daily driveability, I would have taken a dump on this car and gotten the M5.
