Horrible traction. Best time was first run (got there 830pm), track was moist, humid and therefore wet. No traction at all after 9pm.
12.5 w a 2.1 60' was the first run @111.
This one is 12.8 at 113.
Tires are 5day old 285/35/18 NT05's. Going to break them in some more and head there next week to get into the 11's with better track conditions.
Exhaust setup is exhaust cutouts (open) with removed resonators. I'm not a huge fan of the sound however. Time to do something about that.

Your MPH are REALLY low however. I mean, weird low. Even when I would have horrendous traction ( 2.3-2.4 60ft times ) I would still trap 118mph. Even when I was stock with 2.6 60ft times I trapped 111mph ( went to 113-114mph when I hooked a 1.9-2.0 ).
Have you dyno'd your car lately?

I have to confess, usually I listen to the cutout vids and just wince in pain at the "General Lee" good ole boy sound.
That actually sounded pretty decent!![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
THAT is a scary prepped track! Glad you are okay.

Agreed.
Track prep, and lack of traction will not cause those low traps. I/C pump most likely. Unless of course, you just had super high D/A

So I'm not alone on this. My plan was to hit the track when new tires came and dyno it within a week or so. Tires have 500 miles and grip very well on the street. I too feel that the car should be making more.
Have the new Bosch IC pump in there too.
I think tbal went through the same, need to get his file in.

Have about 5 slips with traps being 113. Wont go higher.
I know my tune was somewhat "conservative" and the car ran rich on the dyno back when I had a dead IC pump.

Bro welcome to new england dragway lol horrible traction and low trap speeds, dont feel bad as my 530whp car only traps 122 there.
Check your intake temps to see if your pump is working as you should be trapping 116-117 there with your setup.
It was also hot and muggy last night.
I gave up on street nights there becasue they dont prep the track. You need to come there on a test and tune with me to run a good time.
only on test and tunes and huge events is when they prep the track.

unless you're tuned for cut outs you're losing more tq and midrange hp than you're gaining on top (if you're gaining anything at all). i lost a tenth at the track just by replacing race cats with straight pipes and not tuning for it.

Hey bro, did you do any runs with the cutouts closed? With cutouts open I was trapping 114, with cutouts closed i was trapping 118.x!

None with closed, but I ran the faster times with my very heavy jl sub box and other stuff in car. Will wait to see dyno numbers and see how she does next Wednesday. Gonna warm up the tires this time too. Not like they'll last long until I have to buy winter tires![action](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/action1.gif)
Still have all my cats in, but looking for 63 mufflers just like you got Tony.

Hmm, maybe I'll get under there and close em a tad w a screwdriver, considering they are rusted shut after the winter (doesnt bug me since theyre always open).
