manheim recent sales data 03-06 E55s and 00-03 M5s
if anyone has access to this sort of sales data i would really appreciate some up to date numbers.

Prices have dropped in the last year for the E55Ks. Even the 06s can be had for high 20s now with decent mileage. Some 03s have sold for low 20s, but they were mediocre condition and/or high mileage.
As for the E39s, they seem to steady right around $18-$22K depending on mileage, condition etc.
Manheim's wierd, though. In some auctions, cars will go for $4-5K below book, in others, they'll go for $4-5K above book. It depends on what kind of dealers are there, the amount/types of cars, and the season. Now that Fall/Winter is coming around, expect these prices to stay relatively stable or maybe even drop slightly.
For reference, my cousin is a dealer and has access to Manheim. He keeps me up to date on car prices from time to time.
