Best bet would be a 55 gallon drum with a bilge pump from a norwegian cruise ship. Please also ensure you make all piping from endangered squirel foreskins. They are the absolute best for heat transfer....

Unfortunately it wont be suitable for you because this setup, which is rated to cope with 4000hp, will only function on a supra.

Possibly cheaper to run a long hose from a cold water source, like a lake or the ocean. Plus you'll save the trouble of having to install a heavy heat exchanger because you'll know the waters already cold.

Can we put a small chunk of glacier in it for extra cooling? May need to make a little dollly to hook up behind the car with a hide-a-hitch to allow for a large enough tank. Should work good, pretty sure you will have some glacier left over after 47 passes down the track!

$4k is ghetto, It can't possibly work unless it costs $40K and is manufactured by a bankrupt former MB performance shop.

BTW. Do you know what a PITA it is to add a little ice to your tank after a pass while waiting bored for a half an hour in the staging lanes.

After you have done the leg work, I'll give you another $1,000 to make it work in my S600

Hahahahaha. Seriously though this setup is ghetto and pointless unless you're making 1700whp yo.

How about a mini under hood swamp cooler for $3995? It's way cheaper than $4000

Come on Skratch, this is mocking the Debbie downers putting down Tbal's new up front tank setup in his thread and to be more specific the one who wanted to sell a rear tank setup for $4000 if someone wanted one.

You know because everybody needs about 20' of rubber hose and an aluminum tank (in one case mentioned to be the need for 10 gallons) for $4000! Why pay less than $500 for what you really need when you can pay $4000???!!!!

ENJOY YOUR HEATSOAKING, CHEAP PIG CARS YOU BUNCH OF POOR LOSERS!!!

Signed, your enemy, Johnny Tran.

Best part about it is that the guy mentioned who could get you the trunk setup "cheap, like $3,500-$4,000" is notorious for ripping people off, taking forever to get work done, and doing work sloppy. I know more than a few customers' cars who have left that place very unhappy. Their shop is Xtreme Racecars (formerly Xtreme Motorwerks), and they've been screwing people for years. Plenty of threads on it around the net.

I want no heat soak issues with my monster 168 pulley. If it takes $4000 to cool her down, so be it...

Having difficulties locating a 20 gallon tank... Anyone? Also thinking using freon to cool the water down even more. Should I assume self adjusting clamps or will Standard steel clamps do?

You need Wiggins clamps. TONS of them. I'll sell them to you for $1,000 apiece. Otherwise you're just too poor and need to get your paper up SON.
