DynoJet vs. DynDynamics results for E55K

Which Dynonometer gave you higher rwhp/rwhtq numbers under similar weather conditions and identical mod setups?

What were the numbers (rwhp/rwtq) on the different platforms and how far apart and in which direction?

On Saturday, I went to a dyno shop that had both platforms and I ran on both back to back. A modded C63 ran in the morning and the DJ was higher by only 11rwhp while my result was just the opposite with the DD result 44rwhp higher than the DJ. I've always heard that the DD was 8-10% lower than a DJ. But on Sept 24, this was not the case with either car. The C63 on the DD was only 2.4% lower than the DJ while my car was 10.2% HIGHER on the DD than the DJ.

The DynoShop in Santee, CA explained to me that the DJ being an inertia dyno does not pickup up the effects of forced induction boost as well as a DD. He explained that a DD being a load-bearing dyno will measure boosted/force induction real power better than a DJ. Does this make sense to you? If so then all the DD results should be higher for 55K cars but that is not what I have seen or heard on this forum.

Makes no sense to me. And I have dynoed my Audi and my E55 both on dynojet and both on a dyno dynamics and both got more power on the dynojet.

My e55 was dynoed both with an outside temperature around 80* but the dynojet run according to their computer said it was 93 in the room. Dynojet was 499 uncorrected 509 corrected and not sure if dyno dynamics was corrected or not but was only 454.

As your poll go, dynapack dyno will usually give the highest number.

2005 E55
when you go on a dyno dynamics ask the shop to give you the shootout numbers, thats when the dyno will read lower. Most of the time the shop will calibrate a DD to read like a dynojet.
