Do I have to re upload the tune file again?

Do I have to re upload the tune file again?
If both batteries were disconnected, do I have to re upload the tune file? What will happen if drove and went WOT without tune for highly modded E55 apart from damaging engine internals? Heat? Burn?

Not planning to do so but I wanna educate myself and my friends

Just as the factory tune won't disappear, a aftermarket tune will remain unchanged.

The data is stored in an AMD EPROM on the main board of the ECU
