E55 Stage 1 VS CL600 Stock V12TT

Had a bit of fun with a buddy and his Stage 1 E55 (Pulley and Tune) and my Stock CL600.

We made several rolling runs from about 30 - 100. Each run one of us would get a bit of a jump, whoever got the jump would hold it but not pull away.

These 2 cars are pretty dead even for now, I plan to do a ECU tune so we wanted to see what they would be like before and after.

ECU/TCU tune and it will be game over for the 55. That friggin 600 is a monster with simple ecu/ tranny tune.

Very interesting, thanks for posting. I am very curious what a stage 2 or 3 E55 would do against a tuned CL65 or CL600, tuned been ECU and TCU.

Well, odd enough, I own both. Both with tunes as well. And speed wise, its about as expected. The E55 feels faster around town at lower speeds. But give them a chance to strech their legs, my CL600 pulls like a train!

Excellent,

I raced a friend with my VRP package and he sold his E55 the following week. LOL

He was nearly stage 4 almost, If I recall. Although there are some heavily modified 55's that will give my old V12 a run for its money.

Keep in mind that pretty much any tune only V12TT car will run mid-11's@120-122

Now think about what has to be done to a 55K car, to do the same.

It's not about power at that point, it's more about TRACTION

Your new V12 will put a world of hurt on ALL the heavily modified 55's here.

Drives: 2005 E55
11s with street tires club !!!
Took my car to NED tonight the way I drive it to work everyday and nailed an 11.8@119.

ran 5 back to back runs and the car was trapping 118-120 all night.

My issues are solved and it was the spark plugs(they were all loose)Ill be hitting the dyno soon to see the real gains on my TB upgrade. My last attempt hit 502whp but with the a/f in the 10s and I was trapping 116 that same day at the track.

But dyno says 30whp up top end!!!

V12 Biturbo 65's are insane to keep up with after 160mph.
