Tired of squeaky Stock (OEM) rotors and pads

I replaced worn front rotors and pads last spring with OEM parts. They squeaked and squealed the first day on and have continued to do so. I thought the noise would stop after a few thousand miles, but they have not. The stealer says that nothing is wrong and that semi-metallics will squeak.

I am sick of them and the brake dust. Can I replace the pads with after market pads and leave the stock rotors in place. Are there pads that will eliminate the noise and brake dust or at least reduce it?

Akebonos are nice because they create less brake dust than OEM pads.

Curt, run EBC's. Warm up time is minimal and only squeak at first. I'm on my second set. The only bad thing is that they like to eat up rotors faster. I can get you those at cost though.

What is the going price for rotors?

I need to do a break job and my rotors are original with 75K on them - I'm going to need to do them as well.

I've seen some really cheap "OEM" ones online - not sure I trust those.

Any good leads?
