Floored Fab. Headers= P2098 code
Anyone here with FF headers getting the check engine light due to code P2098?
If so, how did you fix the problem? My setup consists of headers along with 200 cell race cats. to stock mufflers. Thanks for any input!

Post cat. lean. Eurocharged tune. Car runs good. Code started popping up after about 2 months from initial retune. Was told maybe it's the way the 02 wires were extended. Strange thing is for the first few months I never got a code.
It could be the extension of the sensors

might be a tuning issue or as simple as an o2 sensor going bad. i never have and never will buy into the whole issue about extending wiring to the o2 sensors being a problem. i ran extended sensors for 3yrs and never threw one single cel until i got a tune from renntech.

I've installed new O2 sensors and had the connections soldered, (which isn't the easiest to do with silver core wire), checked for exhaust leaks (none) and had 90 degree bung extenders installed. The one common denominator that I have seen on the forums is the EC tune.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Appears I have hit a wall with this, anyone else have an idea before I place a piece of black tape over the check engine light.
procedure posted in the other thread....
Secondary O2 can be turned off and you can take them out with star diag, development data, control unit adaptation, variant coding, implizite codierung... item nb 183.

Did you ever get this resolved? I also have a EC tune with this code and MBH headers. The code popped less than a week after having the headers installed.

Mine does it as well but I have an OE tune so I don't think it is tune specific given that OE has a number of customers with no problems using floored fab. I'm going to check my wiring again since i get it for both sides P2096/P2098. My secondary O2 sensors are off within my tune but I'll try and do it in Star as xpl0sive describes...

I thought about that too after reading your thread when the code started popping up after the header install; but I verified a few days ago that they are connected correctly.

I'm also running MBH long tubes and no cats with an OE tune. I had the down stream o2's turned off, no issues...
