Quick front brake question
So I'm trying to put my new Evosport rotors on and ive my caliper and locating screw out. What is the rotor hat frozen to..? Is it the center hub sticking through.? I keep spraying everything down and I can see some movement in the lug holes but the rotor doesn't budge. I think I'm going to use some heat now and wanted to make sure I heat up the right part...yeah, I'm been hammer smacking it too, not that there's much space to get a good whack in...Thanks

The rotor is sticking to the wheel hub, you can take a mallet and really whack the hell out of the rotor to knock it loose, since their being replaced anyway. Before you mount the evosport rotor put a alot of anti-seize compond on the wheel hub to prevent the new rotors from sticking. Oh and you might want to take a wire brush to the wheel hub, to remove any rust that might have built up over the years.

Try knocking the hub area in circle to break it loose. A wire brush with some WD40 would help too. Then finally knocock it outwards with a mallet (shouldn't require much effort). Just had to pull my rear rotors off this morning and it was no fun.

Yeah the 5lb hammer helped...The 2lb wasn't cutting it I honestly don't see how to get the rear calipers off without a lift...I couldn't get any leverage on the bolt and can't get the 2 foot bar in there...

For you guys out there who haven't tried to break a rotor loose yet, it goes like this. Get a nice 5 pound hammer. Grasp the handle with both hands, line the head up squarely with the face of the rotor hub, and smack it with authority. Do not hit the pad surface, and do not try to beat on it from the back side. After two GOOD whacks in the right place it will break loose. What you're trying to do is briefly deform the surface of the rotor where it contacts the hub, and break the rust and other junk that's sticking them together. This also works for separating most tie rods, ball joints, etc..

Please ensure that your rear braking brakes aren't engage, because that will definitely hold the rotors on And whacking it could damage the emergency brake system. With the caliper removed and the retaining screw removed as well, and the emergency brake dis-engaged, whack the hell out of the rotor in a circle if possible. It's best to put the car in neutral to accomplish this, as you can rotate the rotors. To get the rear bolts loose on the calipers, use a breaker bar, with a short extension.

You can also just whack the rotor surface...Smacking the bottom a couple times broke it loose on both fronts...Same idea...In the end I could have saved a lot of penetrating oil mess, oh well...
