I put one in my car and it was very easy to do. I tapped the surge tank and routed the vacuum line through one of the firewall grommets. I wanted to mount the gauge in a place where I could hide it when desired, so I reformed the back of the ashtray to accept the gauge. I used ABS plastic and cut it to fight tightly and it fits like a glove. The lid for the ash tray can easily be closed to conceal the gauge when desired.

pm me your email and i will send you pics. it is very easy. I has a external sensor so I have had to run the vacuum line to the sensor which was mounted on the firewall and not all the way to the gauge. VEI systems makes some good gauges.
