So driving around today and Check engine light pops up. Odd because the car was driving fine and there wasn't a message popping up. I am 1400 miles away from my service D, don't know if that could cause it? Tech said it could be anything from gas cap to crank position sensor or anything in between. Could the close to the service cause the CEL?

Its in getting the service and diagnosis. Hopefully, its nothing major.

Going from the E63 to a loaner impala is pretty brutal. First thing that threw me was when I pressed the truck release and I was just standing there waiting for it to open on its own.

 

Was the stability control working?

 

i assume so. the light wan't on to indicate that the ESP was turned off.

 

If the ESP light came on first then the check engine light,what could be going on?
