2003 E55 AMG Silver with Merlot Interior
New PB - 11.73@121MPH...she made me proud!!
We finally had a nice cool night here in Houston so I decided to run out to Royal Purple Raceway with a buddy of mine to see what I could click off. I will tell you the old girl made me so proud! I was running 11.80's @ 119/120 hot lapping it, my best was after about a 20 min cool down and did a new PB of 11.73@121 with a fair 1.84 60ft. I know there is a 11.6XX in it as I have done 1.78 60's but I could not do better than mid 1.8's last night (Hankook Ventus V12's). I am very happy considering the minimal mods - 172 pulley, EC H/E, EC tune and K & N's....headers are next on list (almost finished as I am building them myself) I finished the pass side and about 3/4 done with drivers (partially finished pass side pic attached)...need to take some new pics of them...
Anyway.. I had some great races! Beat down a new M3 with a tune 4 times in a row, I included the closest race we had 12.5 vs my 11.8. All his runs were mid/high 12's. He was a really cool guy, he dynoed at 431whp.
Then a Z06 and he could NOT drive, the best he ran all night was a mid 12. I was actually dissapointed in all the Z06's, none of them (about 5 there) got out of the 12's. The race I had with him was a joke (link below) he blew the tires off and missed a shift and just let off watching my tail lights vanish down the track
Then at the end of night I got called out by a magnuson supercharged G8 with exhaust, tune and so he says a 35hp shot of NOS for cooling IAT's that he didnt run. He was a street racer and they were not posting his times...I figured what the hell...lets run. He ran 12.4@118 vs my 11.734@121.05 (and he red lit). He should have run the 35 shot as I found out after our race his best was a 11.734 (ET identical to my best) at 119 with the small shot.
At the end of the video with the G8 you will see a new 5.0 Mustang come into frame. Now I hate to street race, but I happened to leave at the same time with the 5.0 and we did a 60-145 run on the freeway and it was empty (1am)..not a single car was passed besides him
...about 6 car lengths.
10 races...10 wins, 11.70's/80's all night - people kept coming up going OMG that car fast and beautiful!! Jeeze these AMG's are FUN!!

It was a fun night!! I built the headers for 68 Dart drag car I'm building with my buddy...so I figured what the hell I'll build some for the E as well. Shardul gave me some cracked factory exhaust manifolds that I cut the flanges off and hogged out to fit the primaries. It's a lot of labor, but I have $238 into them .

Thanks guys! And yes the track was wet, not even enough room to drive around water box. Not that mattered as a lot of newbs just drove thru the water and did a run leaving wet tire tracks...
Shardul - PM me about the transcooler. You install one yet? I forgot about it until I was hot-lapping thinking about the trans..

Ohhh....I misread. My bad.
That's a pretty low DA but the time and traps are absolutely still sick regardless. A+ for you.

Actually I looked up the DA from the site AKnight55 provided (thanks) and was -300 by the time we left. But it only corrected the time up to 11.76 vs 11.73.. still very happy with 121+MPH..Thanks!

The EC tune does work well.
I had Jerry and Adam tune my E with the latest stage 1 version last month, and its pulls harder from on the lower gears.
I now have a strong 3rd gear, something that was lacking before.

Fantastic times and MPH, congrats!
Those G8's are fun to race. Last time I went out there were a few of thrm, one of which was supercharged and running 11.40's I believe. I happend to have one of my buddies there and he got one of my passes against another G8. I don't know what he had done to it, but it wasn't supercharged and I left him HARD. I think this was my 11.96 run, but the camera sucked big time at the top end.

Here's my buddies Mustang. It's a 2V motor with a Kenne Bell blower and all kinds of other goodies. I think he ran a 10.80.
