Save money + Stop better

Front brakes were starting to wear so it was time for a brake change. Didn't want to spend a lot of money so asked Kevin@AutoTalent for a suggestion since they did not have anything on hand towards closing time. Auto Talent had the brakes ready the next morning which was great. Here's the kicker, when I opened the boxes...the rotors were blank!! Double checked the shape and size which matched up perfectly. After they installed & bedded in the brakes a little, I was skeptical that they would be as efficient but the brake feel is better than ever. Pedal feels solid and don't have to apply extra pressure at the last couple feet like before. Went with Centric/StopTech blank rotors with 104 style pads. There is drilled as well but I don't like the uneven wear

Highly suggest EVERYONE to get these brakes. If you are local, they do great installation or if you are not then they can ship the brakes to you. Looks like they ship out brakes almost every time I stop by.

You guys will be shocked about the price - contact Kevin@AutoTalent.com (he replies quickly) or call him at the shop

Almost time for rears & brake flush which should mean it will stop even better

Funny that this thread was started. I just had my brakes done by AutoTalent the other day.

I opted for the cross drilled rotors, because I wanted to retain the OEM look and purchased the 104 pads as well. Had the OEM brake lines replaced with stainless brake lines because I needed the D+ service and a brake fluid flush was going to be part of the regimen. So I figured why not. Had them on my M3 and M5 and the pedal feel felt better afterwards, so why not?

Anyhow, brakes have been changed, and I'm certain that they feel a lot better than before. Not to mention the 104 pads stop better than than the OEM pads I had before.

Best part though. I paid LESS for the parts than I would have purchasing from an outlet such as parts.com, plus had them installed that week.

Two thumbs up for AutoTalent and the Centric/Stoptech brake setup!

Stainless lines will not change the feel of the brakes since the pedal isn't connected to the master cylinder....

Just saying

Thank you for the clarification.

Anyhow, I just wanted to thank AutoTalent for the recommendation on the brake change. It worked out and I saved a few bucks in the end.

Stainless steel lines help when the brakes are hot (track conditions) since stainless steel takes a lot more to expand than rubber. With the lines remaining "tighter", your brakes are less prone to fade.

Under regular conditions, it will feel the same.

1 piece 2 piece? if only one do you think they could come up with a two piece setup?

What a coinsidence, just did all four of mine as well. But, went with OEM rotors, ($313.00 for all four), and Akebono pads, ($268). Cheapest brake job ever and it stops like new with practically no dust.

Love the Akebono pads.

$330 for 4 blank rotors including front & rear pads sounds like a much better deal than $581

104 - PosiQuiet Semi-Metallic pads are lower dust than OEM but stops much better than stock so it's worth it to me. StopTech offers Ceramic pads only for the front but not the rear so opted to have a matching set of pads front and rear.
