Since you posted a link for Sacramento CL, I guessing you also in the Sacramento area. You have the advantage of using the Rancho Cordova Recyclers to build back up. It's one of the US's largest auto recycling areas. If you need more info, let me know. I used to go there a lot when I used to actually like working on my cars.

No that we know its an 03 with 100k, it becomes a horrible decision. Better start the part out process. I wouldnt put a dime in that thing. It was only worth 15k in great shape with those miles and year. That thing is trashed and at 103k, its pretty worthless to fix if you already have 11k in it. Hell, it still might have the shiaty Valeo radiator that is a nighmare.
Part it out, the motor alone will be worth some good cash. Body panels, bumper, headlights, tails, interior pieces that haven't been blown to bits or burned by exploding airbags will get you close to or over what you paid for it.

To the OP, you need to figure out what you want out of this car. If you wanted one and can put some labor in lieu of cash to get into this one then you will do alright. If you want to flip it, it's probably not worth the effort. If you just want out, you can probably get what you paid for it with a little patience. Parting out a car is MUCH more work than fixing what you have. You have to take everything apart, package it, ship it, and deal with lots of people that want stuff CHEAP.
Here's some facts as I see them (remember I'm new here too )
'03 E55 with 100K miles is considered less desirable and can be less reliable than later years if things have not already been updated. That said, there are many with early cars that have been just as reliable as any other E55. You could buy this car (fixed) for mid to high teens if it is in good condition. If it is exceptionally clean inside and out and with those options you might see $20K based on what I have seen when buying mine. By this I mean excellent interior with no bolster wear or carpet wear, no dents and only very minor scratches or rock chips. Also everything working.
To fix it you will need:
Side airbag: $275
Seat airbag: $175
Airmatic strut: $500
Paint work: $500
Headliner: $750 (maybe less) USED
Wheel/tire: $350 USED wheel
Programming: $250 (2hours)
Alignment: $200 (with crash bolts)
Total: $3000
You may also need:
Front control Arms: $450 (1 side)
Another wheel: $150 USED
Leather repair: $150
Total: $750
You may also want:
Matching strut for driver side: $500
Front or rear control arms pending alignment: $450
Matching tire for left front: $200
Total: $1150
Grand Total: $4900 plus lots of elbow grease (pretty close to my first WAG)
The above prices are based on internet parts including some aftermarket. You can get wrecking yard parts for less, but then they have unknown miles on them. You can probably get a great deal if you work a package deal with the yard of your choice.
IF you decide to fix it, the first thing to do is get it on a rack at a good body shop so they can look for concealed damage to the chassis. It looks unlikely but better to find out now.
Good luck!
PS: If you part it, I need a driver side alcantara sun visor.

03 in great shape still around $17K to $18K there is no way you can find a great shape and CLEAN title for $15K. Even the W210 is asking around $11K to $14K this day.

I'm more with emoving on this one. A 100K mile '03 that has been wrecked is worth $16K, give or take a grand. Clean '03 cars with much fewer miles barely get into the $20s.

I wouldn't pay big bucks for a headliner. Call some local shops that do interior work on cars and have something made for a 1/4 the prices your seeing. It may not be the same material, but they can probably make something that looks descent for cheap.
