Quick Question on Navigation System
Peeps,
Quick question here. I have a, "NAV" button on my console, but when I hit it I get the message, "Navigation device unavailable." Does this mean I simply lack the DVD that provides the navigation map/program or I'm missing the entire unit that perhaps might exist in the trunk?
If it's just the DVD/Map I'm missing, any recommended sites I could buy it from.
Sorry if this is a silly question!
Alex

in the amount of time it took you to make this thread, you could have gone to your car, opened your trunk, and looked behind the panel on the left side for a navigation unit. if it's there, u may just need a DVD or there may be another issue. if it's not there.... well there's your answer

if the drive and DVD are present in the back. unplug the drive for a minute and then plug it back in. it will reset the system and may start working back again.

Thanks guys, told you in advance it was a silly question! (So you were warned.) ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

PS. In my defense, some navigation systems have nothing in the trunk and the unit is fully self contained within the dash and all that's needed is the DVD/Map. My old Dodge/Chrysler's unit was set up this way, which is what spurred this post actually.
