Sure if you want them surface mounted and not flush.

That is true for sure...but I was just commenting that they could be done!

I also suppose a good shop could mount them flush, maybe even lower...though I am not sure the aftermarket bumpers are eve setup for them. I think some smoked lens' on a black 55 would look sweet

Iam, I had to modify the housings to work. You have to dremel out the plastic holder that the halogen bulb fits into and slide the hid bulb through it. Hids will not lock down in the foglamp housing for some reason.

The sensors will will not match into the brackets on the bumper.

Gary's bumper comes with brackets but it is specifically for an E63 sensor which is smaller in size than E55/E500. I just plugged them up for now and disabled my parktronic via star.

so what are people doing to keep the parktronic working?
cutting off brackets? putting on e55 brackets from existing bumper?

I believe people are swapping their old brackets to Gary's bumper. Unfortunately, I can not tell your how hard or easy it is to remove the brackets off of Gary's bumper. Shouldn't be too difficult but idk.
