Cell phone optiono n 03?
Seems my car had the cell phone option with a lil holder in the clam shell center console. Did this work with a special Mercedes phone or something? I have controls on the steering wheel and radio for the phone as well.
This isn't able to work with modern phones at all is it? Do I have bluetooth maybe? Or is it all pretty much obsolete and just taking up space?

In Atlanta, for example, Metro PCS still has a vast CDMA network, in addition to 4g. I'm sure there are others as well. By law, even as a non subscriber, they have to allow access to 911 and credit card calls.

I hit the emergency button on my car the other day out of curiosity and it made loud annoying noises for about 2-3 minutes before finally saying unable to complete call. Miht be due to the fact there's no phone in the holster, but I thought maybe there was some sort of other built in system for the emergency calls.
You wanna talk about strange annoying screeching siren like noises though... my god. Glad I was able to turn the sound down with the radio. My buddy in the car with me got a kick out of me not being able to make it stop for a few minutes. lol
Wonder if my dad still has his old startac laying around now. Humm....

Yes, really, because the MB V60i is a CDMA phone, not TDMA.

Then in my Turkey induced stooper, I just realized what you were saying.... the V60i - most of the MB were not V60i - and I was discussing TDMA, not CDMA

03/04 E has a good option available unlike most vehicles. You can buy a Bluetooth Tele-Aid adapter that will fully integrate into your system for a fraction of the price of a normal bluetooth systems. MB part# 6-7-87-5855 just need to have it version coded and installed in the center console.
