MIR Track Rental 12/9/11

Let there be 5mpg, burnouts at every light, and I'm taking on all Civics, Preludes, Camrys, and Delta 88's all day. Gotta burn 1/2 tank.
Thats just crazy what a day to miss. I can't imagine the weather being any better. I didn't realize the Delta 88's were that strong... They sure do things different south of the Mason Dixon Line. You better hope granny doesnt have a built GN motor swap done to give you a run for your money. All kidding aside, I wish you guys the best of luck. I hope to make it down again. Expecting good times from all!!!! No pressure , No pressure!!!

Well tomorrow I will own the record for the W221 S65 2007+ class regardless of my time, why?
Because people that drive 2007+ S65's are lame, there isn't a single 1/4 entry in dragtimes.
I hope to be the first whether I can't hook up and pull a 13.0@120 but hope to run 12.0@120 as stock for the car is 12.4@118 since its freakin 5200 lbs and I filled the tank up last weekend, doh.... so add me to the mix and its 5600+. That is a fricken tank. And I will be on street tires :-( but it will be fun no matter what.
You guys that thought you had heat problems in the E55 (I was one of them), try IATs at 150-190...welcome to the V12TT. Its a heat synch.
It was 41* today when I was out jettisoning fuel for tomorrow. My IATs were 100-105 during normal highway cruising. The good news is, if I dropped the hammer at 60 mph, she broke loose and my IATs fell to 70*....
V12TTs are nuclear reactors.
BTW, a coworker/friend of mine said I/my car came up during a Facebook convo you were having with somebody. I'm the SL600 he was referring to. Dude is named Dave H., has a tricked Rx7, and is an instructor at VIR.
My name is Clayton.

How do you keep your IATs down? What water pump do you have? I tried the Mezier 2 TIMES and both failed on me so i gave up and now i just have an OEM Johnson pump.
I am sure when i arrive my car will be super heat soaked. I might buy some ice to lay on the intake or IC but will probably do very little. I need NOS to cool the car down (semi serious).

Takes me 3 hours to get there with morning rush hour. So yeah, my car is ragged when I arrive. It'll cool down in about 2 hours in those temps tomorrow.

I am calculating tomorrow's max negative DA will be -2.2K at sunrise and -1.5K at noon and -1.1K at peak temp of 51 assuming 27F dew point and 30.5 barometer. Should be good to go.
