How much should I expect to pay to get my rear door fixed?

You going through insurance? If so, may want to see what they are willing to ante up....I doubt they will pay for a new door skin.

Well I want to pay cash so I don't have to deal with insurance and stuff. My deductible is $1k too. I told the 2 shops that and they said it may be more work to remove the dent and add filler and getting a new door frame may be easier. Im going to check out a few more places tomorrow that aren't so high end to see what they say. I may drive it down to LA to have my dad get it fixed cause they're are a lot more car shops down there.

if the dent isnt bad (no creases) why dont you bring it to a guy that does paintless dent removal which is about $50 a dent then have a shop paint it. i had a friend that got hit on a body line on the front fender on his 2010 nissan and it took a few hours but it came out perfect.

Did you look at the picture! Its a little worse then a quick paintless dent job!

I just emailed a couple local paintless dent removal guys to see what they say. It would be great if they can fix the dent, then I can just order new molding and get it painted separately.
I'm worried that they're going to have to take the door apart in this case which may be above their usual jobs.

hope it works out they may need to see the car in person to make a judgement, body shops will say to replace the part just to make money unless of course its totally screwed up, also order the molding from parts.com OEM from a dealer out west.

Yah, I'm planning on doing that. Does anyone know the part number for the chrome molding strip? Its on the driver side rear door of a 2006 E55. I see several different part #s on parts.com.

I'm sorry but that's pretty insane. My best friend painted his ENTIRE Camaro, along with fixing the front bumper which was broken from a soft crash ) for $3000 and the paint looked absolutely SICK....and I'm picky as hell.

The shops are not using any lube on you. Keep shopping as they saw $$$$ when they saw your car roll in.

Thanks, I found the part on parts.com for $110 painted.
I met with a dentless guy today who said he can fix it for $600, another guy I emailed said he can do it for $300. They both have decent yelp reviews (11 vs 40 reviews).
I'm thinking I do go this route, I can avoid insurance completely since my deductible is 1000.
All I would need painted in this case is the scratches at the top, which one guy said can be airbrushed by a guy he works with.

if the number ends in 9999 it isnt painted, i recently bought bumper trim for parts.com and it said it was painted but mercedes doesnt pre paint anymore but I may be wrong, they will email u if that is the case and tell you the new part number. not a big deal. airbrushing ehhh i had it done over my right rear fender and u can tell id just paint it but thats just me, good luck

Quick update:
I got the dent fixed by the best paintless dent removal guy in the area and it looks great. You can't even tell their was a dent there unless I point it out and the sun is shining at a specific angle. Very happy with it. He also but a new molding piece on for me. Now I just have to find someone who can take care of the scratches at the top of the door. I had it buffed and most of them came out too.
