Leaky Roof

I have water dripping out of the passenger side sun visor light when it rains. My mechanic replaced the weather stripping for the sun roof and checked that the drain is clear. It's still leaking. They are having a hard time finding out why. Anyone else have this issue?

It's a common problem on W211 to be honest in that exact area. I will ask my buddy for a more in depth explanation of where it truly leaks from for you

IIRC, the sunroof has drain tubes.... Did one of them become unattached?

They said they check them and that the tubes were still attached.

Is it possible for rain to enter thru old weather stripping around the windshield Since, you said they replaced the weather stripping around the sunroof. How else is rain getting in ?

I got this in the mail a couple of weeks back. Hopefully you can work out something.

Thanks, Tried calling them but no answer and then a busy signal. You can contact them by email but I trust a voice connection more then an email with something like this.

Turns out the seal between the roof and the ceiling pan has a very thin unsubstantial gasketed seal that broke and let water in. My mechanic said it was from the added torque of the mods that caused the car additional twisting during launch. He did say Mercedes did a poor job in designing the seal.
