Scary Moment/Star Tool In Bakersfield?
While I realize this is a long-shot, doesn't anyone have a Star tool in Bakersfield?
Was driving down a surface street yesterday when the check engine light came on, followed by all dash lights as the car shut itself off (including power steering). It was all I could do to coast over to the side of the road. Fired back up, and was able to get home trouble-free, and without any warning lights. Figured codes had to be thrown, though.
Anyone run into this before? Called the dealer, left a message, no answer thus far.

Be thankful that didn't happen at 55-75mph on the freeway. Don't forget when she stalls, you are relying on that tiny battery under your air filter under hood passenger side near firewall to provide ALL stopping power until she goes dead.
Need to get that diagnosed and fixed asap. Even a trip to stealer for a star scan if no one can help you out over here will cost ya 100$ for an hour labor.
Definitely a few stories of guys near soiling themselves as the brake goes to the floor and car will not stop. Man that scares the sheet out of me.
