I was just watching a show where they restored a 1969 Charger (w/440 Magnum). They took it to the 1/4 mile, and were screaming:
This thing is FAST!!!!
They ran a 17.1

Do you know how efffing hard it's been to keep my big trap shut?!
Thank you so much for allowing me to pilot this animal. What was it, 5 passes? And I think it got quicker each time out. I've tracked uncountable fast cars, but I don't recall ever feeling a street car, 4 door sedan nonetheless, bite so hard. The feeling of that 1.50(with another zero btw) 60' is something I won't soon forget. Or looking back to find a place to rest your hat, and toss into a baby seat. Kinda hit close to home and I knew I had to keep it out of a wall. I'm nuts, I'll psychoanalyze my entire existence all before a pre-stage. I still think I owe somebody for chicken from lunch. Couldn't sleep because of it. Ok, way too far....
Again thank you for trusting me enough to pilot her. It's not every day that you get a stranger casually toss you the keys to a nuclear warhead.
I have no clue what voodoo you and Bruce have going on, but keep on doing it.

Real quickly, I want to share just how cool everyone was at this event. Anytime I looked around, there was comradeship and genuine desire to see everyone do well. Dodger was open about wanting to raise the C63 flag over the E55's, and I was open about wanting the same for the E55(now the old guard of AMG). There was never anything personal, just the same desire for each of our cars. Ahmad took turns piloting the 63, while BB and BOR served the 55 platform.
So, partway through the day, dodger struck hard by breaking into the 6's while we only had 3 runs under our belt(.78, .75, .75) in that order. It was our 4th pass when everything started coming together, running a .67, inching past dodger. So, what does he do???
"Hey BK, you need to run Ahmad's skinnies". Off they came from dodger's car while he sat and watched us run a .61 followed by a .59. That was a HUGE gesture, and much appreciated my friend.![bow](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/bowdown.gif)
In turn, we parked the E at 4:00 and swapped my d/r's onto dodger's car, helping him run a .67 and finally a .66 That is crazy fast for n/a!!![crazy](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/crazy.gif)
Everyone pitched in swapping wheels, sharing tools, ice, food, and at one point BOR even tried sharing his nuts....lol
Above it all, Ahmad deserves the good guy award. Bringing down two sets of d/r's which undoubtedly got burned down, and skinnies, coordinating the event, jockeying cars, and never even running his own ride. Hope you know none of that went unnoticed. Thank You!!!![bow](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/bowdown.gif)
