Where to buy plug n play 80/82mm tb?

I'm looking for a kit that is plug and play without CELs or other codes. A kit with everything needed for install without headaches...is there such a kit on the market?

I did a search and it seems TTM sells one, but they have one of the worst website around - you can't find ANYTHING and no prices etc.

Forrest Gump 9, I sent you a PM because I remember you were selling your 80 and 82 tb, I have dibs on one if you still have them!

'08 SL55 is your friend

113 140 0912 is the supercharger snout

113 140 01 04 is the Throttle Body you want

Swap pins 5 and 6 iirc and you're good to go

For 82mm TB setup, all I need is to spend $7xx bucks ?

Still need TB, price not listed. Another route is to simply machine 1/2" aluminum block, weld it to the stock snout, bore that out to match, gasket, y-pipe.

Also you need to bore out the 80mm inlet because it will cause turbulence from a bigger tb like the 82.

Ohh and good luck trying to get your old cable off your tb.so you would need a tb cable that's about 80-100to going from memory.

The parts list (+ a TB) above will give you the hardware, but the TB will not mount to the snout, it has a different bolt pattern. Bruce (TTM) does the machine work to mate the TB to the snout, and modifies the intake and gaskets to be plug and play. There is quite a bit of machine work involved. (I think machine work would run you around $500, but don't quote me, that was probably a bro deal for yours truly, and I think I'm almost sponsored .)

If you want plug and play, give Bruce a call. If you want to build a kit.. that's a different story, and there are many write ups. Personally, Ill get the kit from Bruce and save the aggravation.

Incorrect. The parts list for the '08 SL55 requires ZERO modifications other than than swapping pin 5 and 6

500 to bore the opening 2mm? Wow im in the wrong line of work lol I paid 50 bucks and my friend powder coated it for free.

For the screws that bolt up on the tb all you need to do is drill out one hole to make it bigger to give you enough room to move the tb over to line up.

Or just buy my mb oem that will bolt right up and you don't need to bore anything to make it bolt up

So which part numbers work? I'm seeing a lot of different numbers. Do Sl55 only have 80+ mm? I could swear somebody said the s550s, and sl550s did as well?

Actually he was correct, as he was referring to the part list posted by pearlpower.

However, did you fail to mention that running the 80mm(real measurement of only 78mm btw) will eliminate the factory pcv system?

No, I was talking about adding material to the 80mm snout and re-tapping the snout to accept the 82mm TB. Also, boring out the shout to match the diameter of the TB.

80mm would be easier, but I think 82mm would be a better mod if going to all this trouble.

+1 I prefer Hammer Down's recommendation. Mine has an extra flange bolted on the end which sets the TB further back. It works ok but is a stretch for the y-pipes when you want to hook up to the airboxes.

No it doesn't. Everything for the PVC system is there, after all it's a factory setup for the S550, SL55 and SL550

I'm clear on the factory setup. But is that the same as what it used on the E55? Negative. So now you need to modify this as well, not just a two pin swap anymore. The E55 pcv is plumbed into the vaccum side of the engine. There is no source for ported vacuum on the throttle body you are recommending.

Armo, PCV= positive crankcase ventilation.

You can run the pcv right into the inlet and thats how the sl55 does it i think.my amg 80 doesn't have a hole at all and i drilled one in.after that i saw it was on the vac side ,i could of saved alot of time by just running the pcv to one of the ports on the inlet.
