I accidentally tore my driver side seat bottom last night... :/


Does anyone know any shops that can fix/stitch in new leather or can provide a used seat cover? Anyone parting an E55 with charcoal leather?


GAHH upholstery wants $560 for the cover, and they say that they use genuine MB leather. I am going to check with the dealer later today to get an idea of their pricing, but wanted to see if you peoples had any ideas/had any leads.

Please let me know.

If you are going to get new leather bottoms, you are better off getting all new seating surfaces in the car so it matches. You're better off finding a used piece that will likely match better. Try classifieds or ebay.

i checked for a price on seat bottoms on oediscountparts, i'm not sure what year your car is, but for a 05-06 seat cover W/leather w/ventilation and multicontour, they want $472.50. and the prices stay the same w/o ventilation or multicontour

I have a small tear in the upper seat back.. so if you have to order both top and bottom hit me back and i'll split it with you.. yeah, prices from my upholsterer were outrageous plus sourcing the perforated leather is not easy. i was told it usually has to come from germany (amg) and is not cheap. ie, not many if any people stock it. I've been looking for a used seat cover too so if you find one before me let me know.

My tech buddy Ken says he replaces the bottoms all the time and it's not the worst job in the world.

I would go factory before trying to match. They sell them all the time.
