My car will cut off my radio and call SOS randomly... but the call always fails.

The driver seat will occasionally disable "Dynamic" mode on long trips and I'll feel the side bolsters deflate. The button won't work at all until I stop the car and turn it off and on again. Minor inconvenience...but I like everything to be perfect so I'll probably have it diagnosed and fixed (under warranty of course!)

i odn't even know what this feature is called, i'm guessing part of the keyless go, but up until a month ago, as long as i had my keyes in my pocket, when i approached the car and pulled on the handle the door would automatically unlock, all of a sudden this stopped, anyone have any ideas??

Bad microswitch in the door handle. Unfortunately you can't replace the switch, you have to replace the entire handle. Plenty of threads showing the DIY in here....

To confirm: Try walking up to the rear door and pulling the handle to unlock. All the other doors should work. If not, you either have more than one bad handle or possibly some kind of antenna issue..... but my money is on the more common "defective handle" issue.

I have a rattle in my pano roof (of course) when it's cold, goes away when the car warms up.
Also, the ash tray in the rear driver side door likes to rattle when I play music loud.

Sometimes when I start my car, I have to press the memory seat button to get my seat and mirrors in the right position. This is weird because I never move my seat and am the only one who drives the car.

Also, the heater doesn't really work unless it is set for 85* or higher.

Finally, I get a clunk from the rear over bumps, but only when I am at stock height. Then I am lowered with my ELM, no clunks.

Oh...one more, when I have ESP off and hit the gas hard from a stop, the car sometimes goes sideways and scares the crap out of me.

I get that too, and I'm the only driver. Doesn't happen often... seat settings are probably a "memory setting" held by the accessory battery up front? Perhaps as the battery gets weak these are some of the weird side-effects (losing Dynamic seat settings, mirror settings, etc)???

My annoyances are:

1. Sometimes the volume knob on the command unit hardly works. It will turn volume up when trying to go down, and occasionally i would have to turn it quite a bit to go up in volume.

2. My auto trunk used to open and close nice and slow when i first bought it. Lately, it opens fast, and closes extremely fast, like it's trying to cut your arms off, haha.

Any ideas?

Do you have your bolsters cranked up all the way without dynamic on?

Well...I thought my dynamic was shot (yes...I had my bolsters cranked all the way up...) because when I turned it on it did nothing...actually even threw a code that the guys at Buckhead Imports saw. So I was like, "Crap, is my extended warranty going to cover this?" Called them and they confirmed they'd cover it so I took it to MB Buckhead.

If the bolsters are fully inflated and you engage Dynamic, it can confuse it and throw a code. Also...apparently if you have the bolsters FULLY inflated, dynamic won't do anything.

So MB told me.

Oh..and my complaint...the passenger side mirror that adjusts for backup convenience totally sucks. :-) I swear sometimes its dead on...sometimes its looking at the ground.

Creaky pano roof is my #1 complaint, hands down. No easy fix, just have to live with it. The pulse/massage functions don't work on either seat either...the light just blinks. Dynamic bolsters sort of work, but not consistently. Warranty just ran out, sigh.

E63, chirping HVAC fan and a failed steering wheel angle sensor so far. My irritations are a lack of visible volume on the radio, is it all the way up or not? Not having the climate control temps linked together, it's dumb to have to adjust both individually.

Sometimes when I go to start the car, it says "Key not recognized" after hitting the starter. I press it again and it works.

Mine does the exact same thing. Just installed new batteries in the key too. Retrying a few times always seems to work, but this issue is annoying.

My ride is at the dealer right now for the HVAC fan as well. New blower supposedly fixed it (under CPO).

Flimsy rear sun shade. Rear Climate control blows heat on 60.. Clunking rear over bumps.. Drives me insane!

For some reason, the passenger side headlight washer hatch will be hanging open after a drive where I never even used it. I flip it closed but it will be open again after I only use the windshield washer too. WTF?

Also the fasten seatbelt warning will chime after a passenger has left the car. I have to drive the rest of the time with the seatbelt latched until I turn the car off but sometimes that doesnt fix it

Tire pressure monitoring system won't reset. I'm guessing its a sender gone bad but which one?...

Just lots of stray electrons bouncing around the car causing quirky malfunctions and it seems like this is par for the course with these cars?

The most annoying problem I have is the volume control. It's SO irritating!!! The volume goes up when I'm stopping and goes down when I accelerate. Sometimes, its the opposite. And sometimes I'll have the volume completely off and out of nowhere it'll gradually increase in volume until I can hear it again without ever having to raise the volume manually....I've asked my dealership to turn this sh*t off but they have no idea what I'm talking about...sigh

Mine is at the stealer now getting some warranty work. I took it in to get the xenon light fixed (igniter) And I had them fix everything that would be covered under warranty. Mirror switch, passenger seat, three door handles, and they said the motor mounts need to be changed out. Total cost is about $6k at dealership prices. Still awaiting approval from warranty company.

Most anoying problem I have is clunking suspension(I think) noise when going through the bumps or sometimes when accelerating. Number two is cd changer works only for 2-3 min goes silent and then spits out cd error on all cd's. Number three is the auto trunk opener doesnt open but closing just fine. And thats it for now I hope not to have any more any time soon.
