Interim tire choice dilemma. Opinions?
I'm on my 3rd set of Vredestein Sessanta (275/35/18 on 4 9" wheels) and have been getting 19-20k miles per set. The car is an '06 E55 with 80k miles.
I'm at about 11k miles now and just got a nail too close to the edge to repair.
Current tread depths are 3-4/32nds on each of the rears and 6/32nds on the fronts (they have been rotated).
I would ordinarily just order another 2 Vredesteins and go on my merry way but it always takes me several days to get them and I need a quicker solution.
I have some other tires kicking around that I ought to use up. I have 3 used 275/40/18 Michelin PS2s that I had bought as extras for my Ferrari but they've been sitting here 2 years and I have others I'd use on the Ferrari first.
I also have 1 275/35/18 Nexen N3000 that I bought last time I had a nail and just wanted something cheap for an immediate solution at the time.
I'd kind of like to use the PS2s which have a lot of tread depth but their overall diameter is 1" higher and I suspect the grip level is greater than the Vredestein. My driving these days with this car is just highway and around town, no hell raising or limit-pushing.
Would you think it'd be better to run the tall but grippy Michelins or run a 3/32nd Vred on one side and a basically new Nexen on the other?
Thanks in advance.

.
Why not just "slum it" and drive the Ferrari for a few days while you wait for the Vredsteins to arrive??
That's what I'd do.......if I had a spare Ferrari..........which I don't...........and I hate you.

Haha, now there's an idea. I suppose I could do that...
Quick update: I just had the Michelins installed. It subtely even gives it a little more raked stance and so far no issues noticed. We'll see how it goes...
