E55 AMG water pump Urgent !
Guys,
I need help urgent....... My mechanic told me the water pump is failing and can't find part in Socal area. So i called few dealer myself. Anaheim Caliber quoted $650, West Covina Mercedes quoted $281. Big price different and they don't have the parts. Westcovina service guy told me most likely the plastic connector line from reservoir to the engine is broken. The water pump don't just break thats why they don't stock it.
Anybody have this experience ??? broken plastic connector instead of pump ? and I found this part and called they said it works for E55K.

Is your car overheating? Or is there just a leak? Why not look around and see if you see any of the coolant hoses leaking. You can usually tell if coolant has leaked around an area cause it'll have a whitish powder look to it. Good luck.

If you need it ASAP your gonna pay for it. If you can wait a week RockAuto has an AC Delco for $138 but its not a regularly stocked item for them either. They have a "GMB" brand reman for $67 in stock you'd have at your door by probably Tuesday.
Also if you have an O'Reilly auto parts near you they may be able to have one at the store in 24 hours. Its new and a "master pro" brand for $220.
I'd try to get the delco unless you really need it asap.

Thanks guys, just paid $340 from dealer and will get $70 refund for the core so final cost $270 original from Mercedes. They normally don't stock this part. According to the service guy, its rare that people asking for it.
My car is in the shop now, should be done by tonight or tomorrow for:
- V-belt
- SC belt
- Spark plug
- Valve cover gasket
- Tranny oil flush
- Kleemann header install
- Water pump install
- Johnson IC pump install
I called for my Chrysler ext warranty, the valve gasket and Water pump is cover. Hope my mechanic will deal with them smoothly.
